Q: Can I be a guest judge for the ________ contest?
A: No. Ancient City Con doesn't have judging panels for ANY of its contests. Winners are voted on by the attendees of the convention in every contest. Staff members of the convention only vote in the event there is a tie that needs to be broken.
Q: Is my costume OK? I'm not sure about _______.
A: Email us a picture of it to ancient_con@yahoo.com and we'll be more than happy to tell you if it's OK within the convention & hotel rules.
Q: Can I have a Nerf gun as part of my costume?
A: Yes, however, if you are firing it at the convention you will be asked to leave without a refund. Leave the ammo at home.
Q: Can I bring a radio/boom box as part of my costume?
A: Yes, however, if the radio is disturbing other attendees/staff of the convention in any way (i.e. a single complaint) you will be asked to shut it off. If you refuse, you will be asked to leave the convention area.
Q: Do I have to pay to play the games?
A: No. All you need is your badge you purchased to get into the convention. Unless
specifically stated in the game description such as a CCG booster draft or charity
tournament. Otherwise, all scheduled games are free to play and are usually “beginner
friendly” to teach people how to play. Each game has a sign-

A: “Open play” games are ones that are usually setup for people to play during
the scheduled time that do not require a gamemaster to run them. For example console
video gaming. “Open play” games do not have any prize support. There is also no game

Q: Will there be tables available for open gaming?
A: Yes. Please check with a convention staff member before beginning an open game
at a table just to be sure that there isn’t something assigned there already. Staffers

Q: Are tickets available for sale at the convention?
A: Yes. Tickets are available for purchase on both days. Cash only.
Q: I'm paying via Paypal....Do I still need to mail in a form?
A: Not unless you are a Dealer or Creator's Alley participant. Dealers and Creator's Alley participants will still need to mail (or scan & email) the signed authorization even if they pay via Paypal. Regular attendees who pay via Paypal can also reserve games via email to ancient_con@yahoo.com
Q: I am paying online via Paypal how do I buy multiple tickets?
A: You will need to click on the Paypal “Add To Cart” buttons until you have the appropriate quantity. When buying multiple passes please email us the names you would like on the extra badges along with the Paypal transaction ID#. Multiple badges will need to be picked up by the name of the purchaser.
Q: I don’t have a Paypal account is there another way to buy online?
A: No. You don’t actually need a Paypal account in order to use the Paypal checkout. Otherwise, you will need to print out a registration form and snail mail your registration with a money order or bank cashier’s check, OR pay with cash at the door on either day of the convention.

A: The tickets will be filed under the name of the person who actually paid for the tickets at Registration. They may only be picked up by the purchaser unless instructions are given otherwise by the buyer PRIOR to the convention. Email those instructions to ancient_con@yahoo.com
